Wigan Athletic takeover being hampered by 'feet dragging', insist Spanish

Hide Ad“Every week at the moment is so, so important,” revealed a source close to the Spanish bidders.
“It doesn’t sound a long time, but it’s a hell of a long time in this situation.
“We need to sit down with all the players, we need to talk to them all, and we need to see who is staying and who is going.
“We need to bring in at least five or six players, we know this. But people keep dragging their feet.”

Hide AdCaptain Joe Garner is the latest senior player to depart, while last week’s draw against Bristol Rovers was head of medical services Nick Meace’s last game before following physio Andrew Proctor out.
“When people are getting offers from elsewhere, they are leaving,” added the source.
“Good people are leaving the club – good people who should still be there.
"And it’s very difficult to replace good people when they leave – on and off the pitch.
"The situation has been going on too long.”
