Hide Ad“It’s unfortunately a bad one, for sure,” revealed Cook at his weekly press conference on Friday morning.
“He had an operation on Wednesday, and we might be looking at three or four months.
“It’s a massive blow, because the kid was playing so well, but that’s part and parcel of football.”
Massey himself confirmed the news via social media, with a picture of him on crutches and a leg brace.
“Successful operation, hopefully be back soon,” he posted.
“Rest and recovery and now. Thanks for all the messages.”
