Tributes to motorcyclist killed in lorry crash
Describing how he had “his whole life ahead of him”, the family of John Dalton have spoken of their grief.

Hide AdEmmergency services were called at around 10.15pm after it’s believed John had been riding a Yamaha motorbike eastbound on the road when the bike collided with a lorry travelling in the opposite direction.
He was treated by paramedics but sadly passed away.
The driver of the lorry, a 41-year-old man from Ormskirk, was uninjured.
The road was closed for more than four hours while accident investigators attended the scene.
In an emotional tribute, John’s family said: “There are no words to describe the pain and devastation we feel as a family.

“He was full of life and enthusiasm and always made us laugh.
“He was warm and kind hearted and liked by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.
“We want to thank everyone for their kind words of support at this difficult time and we would also wish to thank the police and paramedics, including an off duty doctor who was driving behind the accident, for all their help trying to save John at the scene that night.
“This tragic accident has left a hole in the heart of our family that can never be filled.”
