A Wigan couple have toasted six decades together, after meeting at the town’s first Heinz plant.
John and Jackie Barlow marked the diamond anniversary with a family meal and a telegram from the Queen.
The great-grandparents, from Mayfield Road, Orrell, met when they both worked at the old Heinz factory in Standish and went on to marry at Mount Zion Church in Pemberton.
