A two-year road ban and three-month suspended prison term have been imposed on a Leigh driver caught at the wheel in Chorley when under the influence of cocaine and a prescription drug.

Craig Baron, 41, of Firs Lane, appeared before Wigan justices to admit driving a Volvo S80 last July 10 without insurance and a licence, having taken the class A substance and diazepam.

He must attend drug rehabilitation sessions, 20 days of rehab activities and pay £213 in court costs.
