Crown court trial for attack accused
Damian Eccles and Rebecca Green faced six charges between them when they appeared at Wigan and Leigh Magistrates’ Court.
The charges all relate to accusations of a violent altercation outside The Boulevard pub on Wallgate on March 12.

Hide AdEccles, of Avon Road in Norley Hall, is accused of wounding with intent for an incident in which he allegedly bit a man’s lip after wrestling him to the floor, committing assault occasioning actual bodily harm (ABH) on two different people by kicking and punching them and affray.
Green, of Bramble Grove in Worsley Hall, is accused of also committing assault occasioning actual bodily harm against one of Eccles’ two victims and affray.
Neither 33-year-old Eccles nor Green, 28, entered any pleas during the hearing on Tuesday morning, speaking only to confirm their names and addresses.
Eccles was defended in court by Lorna Wincote while Green was represented by Louise Barrow and Risha Seth outlined the case for the Crown Prosecution Service.

Hide AdThe magistrates sent the case to Liverpool Crown Court where Eccles and Green will now appear on July 26 for a case management hearing.
Both defendants were remanded into custody until they return to the dock.
