Wigan police seize drugs and cash from raids
The successful raids began last Friday when a man was arrested in Wigan town centre for supplying drugs.
Inquiries into this operation are ongoing.
Following this, on Tuesday, officers from Greater Manchester Police’s Wigan West branch stopped a blue Hyundai car in the Norley Hall area.

Hide AdThe 30-year-old female driver from the local area was detained but her 18-year-old male passenger from the Liverpool area ran off and was chased and eventually caught nearby.
Both suspects were arrested and are currently under investigation.
The operation was carried out on intelligence received by Wigan officers.
The next success in the series of stings was carried out just the following day, on Wednesday, when officers carried out a raid at a property in Scholes.

Hide AdOfficers reported that the B relief neighbourhood and divisional tasking team execuited a drugs warrant at a property in Quarry Place in Scholes,
It is currently unknown whether any arrests were made during this raid or if any illegal substances were seized in the process.
The week was rounded off by another successful arrest of a driver travelling through the Scholes area on Thursday night.
Wigan West officers posted to social media, saying: “Car stopped overnight in Scholes by C relief officers – a quantity of drugs and cash seized, male arrested and enquiries ongoing.”
