Stuart Martin was told by borough justices he was being imprisoned due to his bad record of offending, the fact he had only just been banned, had bought the Ford Ka he was caught in while serving that ban and that he was driving at night without any lights on.
The court heard the 20-year-old of Prestt Grove, Worsley Mesnes, was stopped on Hilton Street, Ince, on the night of July 4. A drug test showed illegal cannabis levels.
