Wigan Warriors star performer earns three Man of Steel points following Huddersfield Giants triumph

Star performer Bevan French has picked up three Man of Steel points following Wigan’s dominant 48-6 victory over Huddersfield Giants at the John Smith’s Stadium.

The reigning Man of Steel assisted two and scored two of his own during the Round 11 victory in West Yorkshire.

He now has four points on the Man of Steel leaderboard.

Praised by head coach Matt Peet for his game management after the triumph, half-back Harry Smith collects another point having received the maximum available following the victory over Catalans Dragons.

Huddersfield centre Esan Marsters, who was sin-binned for a trip on French late on in the second half, picked up two points.

The victory lifted the reigning champions to the top of the Super League table over St Helens and Warrington Wolves, with the club this weekend just 80 minutes away from a place at Wembley in the Challenge Cup final.

The 20-time cup winners will face Hull KR at Doncaster's Eco-Power Stadium on Saturday May, 18.
