Howe Bridge Aces

Howe Bridge Aces

Having already secured two pieces of silverware howe bridge aces swimming club hosted the Junior Jubilee “A” final knowing a victory would give them a historic treble.

As reigning champions the Aces knew they would have to pull out all the stops to win especially with crompton classics being hell bent on gaining revenge after losing on the last race last year. the young Aces’ swimmers rose to the challenge fighting for every point and at half way they were four points in front.

The second half of the gala was equally exciting as both Radcliffe and Crompton stayed hot on the heels of the Aces till the very end but on the day Howe Bridge were not to be denied winning both the final two relay races to secure a fantastic victory.

Howe Bridge Aces 121; Crompton Classics 116; Radcliffe 108; Atherton and Leigh 71

2012 has been a fantastic season for the Aces with three titles to their name and an impressive runners-up spot for the senior team in their first foray into competitive action as well as the girls team winning the overall title at the Warburtons Gala. The swimmers, coaches and parents should all feel rightly proud of not just their achievemnents this year but also the way they have conducted themselves. a marvellous achievement.
