LEIGH half-back Ryan Brierley has written himself into the history books.
He scored a hat-trick of tries against Whitehaven to go with five at Barrow the week previous and three against Batley in Leigh’s opening game of the season; that’s an amazing strike rate of 11 in three games. It means he is the first Leigh player ever to score hat-tricks in three successive games.
Centurions have scored 52 points in all three of their games this season to storm clear at the top of the Kingstone Press Championship.
On Sunday Leigh will be looking to make it four wins in a row when they go to Keighley.
