Latics handed Tangerine test
Wigan Athletic have been drawn at home to Blackpool in round one of next season's Carabao (League) Cup.
The draw was made on Friday afternoon over in Bangkok, the home of the new tournament sponsors, by French World Cup winner Emmanuel Petit.
The tie will be played in the week commencing August 7 – the first midweek programme of the new season.
Ticket details will be released in due course.
