A FORMER Golborne High School pupil has completed her second novel.

Adele Cosgrove-Bray’s book Rowan, a dark urban fantasy which tells the story of a young man from Liverpool who becomes involved with a community of artisan-sorcerers, will be published with a paper release at the end of March.

Rowan marks the second time Adele, who also attended Leigh Technical College, has written about the community of successful businessmen vampires, after introducing them in her debut novel Tamsin.

Adele, who now lives on the Wirral but regularly visits her family in Leigh, says she hopes young adult readers will relate to the problems Rowan finds himself in. She said: “I’ve a bee in my bonnet about creating interesting roles for older people,”

Adele is also a short story writer and poet, chairs literary group Riverside Writers, and runs an annual festival of horror, fantasy and science-fiction in Wirral.

Rowan is currently available as an ebook through Amazon Kindle at ASIN: B007ASQYIC, and will be out in paperback by the end of March.
