Annual day of Prayer
LEYTHERS are being invited to come together to celebrate the World Day of Prayer Unity Service.
The service, which is hosted by a different Leigh church each year, will be held at Our Lady of the Rosary Church, on Plank Lane, at 7.30pm on Friday, March 2.
The address will be given by Dr Ann Mathias from Leigh Baptist Church, which will be on the theme of ‘Let Justice Prevail’.
The World Day of Prayer service, which is celebrated in more than 6,000 UK churches each year, is put together by a different country each year, with Malaysia composing this year’s celebration.
All the churches in Leigh will be taking part in the service, and everyone is very welcome to attend.
