Geese die after being hit by truck
Several geese have died after being hit by a truck.
A crew from Wigan fire station were called to School Lane in Haigh at around mignight last night, Sunday, to reports that 20 geese had been poisoned.
On arrival they found several geese dead on the road and concluded that they had been hit by a passing truck.
