Two Wigan 30-year-olds who admitted dealing in class A drugs have been given very different jail terms.

Scott Penman, of Macauley Place, Goose Green, and Rachel Taylor, of Severn Drive, Norley, were caught when police executed a warrant at the latter’s home.

Searching the address, officers found 10 wraps of cocaine with an estimated street value of £500 and “tick” lists containing more than 50 names of “customers”.

Because of his lead role in the enterprise, Penman was given a 40-month jail sentence.

Taylor was given a four-month jail term but it was suspended for 18 months. She must, however, complete 120 hours of unpaid work and 15 days of rehabilitation activities.
