Huge emergency response to major Wigan incident

Police and paramedics have been called out to a major incident in Wigan town centre.

Unconfirmed reports say a man has suffered a serious knife injury this evening (August 6).

An area of Wigan Parish Church in Bishopgate was cordoned off.

There has been a large emergency presence with police and an air ambulance scrambled.
