THE dust of more than 80 years is being disturbed at a local theatre – thanks to a £49,000 grant.

Tyldesley Little Theatre members are preparing for a complete refurbishment of their stage facilities, thanks to the grant from Biffa Award.

The award will be spent on the installation of new electrical and modern specialist stage equipment to replace the equipment which has served them so well over the years.

The popular venue for local theatre goers has been in receipt of an on-going facelift for the past four years.

A theatre spokesman said: “This re-fit has been a long time coming, but the Biffa Award has finally made it happen”.
