A Christmas Crunch – rather than a credit crunch – is taking place in Hindley this week.
Garage Pro Wrestling, the country's number one wrestling company, is staging its end of the year show at the Monaco Ballroom on Atherton Road on Friday (December 12) with all three titles up for grabs.

The Heavyweight Title will be on the line when reigning champion and fan favourite Bubblegum will take on his nemesis – Dirk Feelgood.
The British Title is currently in the hands of Romanian grappler, Jak Domitrescu and he will be defending against Astley's own 'Super' Sam Bailey.

And finally, the main event for the evening will see the reigning tag team champions, The Mil-Anfield Connection take on two of Leigh's own – Joey Hayes and "Dangerous" Damon Leigh.
Both Leigh and Hayes have wrestled all over the world in their six year careers and are both hotly tipped to breakthrough in America in 2009. So don't miss this chance to see them in action on the doorstep!
Also scheduled to appear are Heresy, Si Valour, El Ligero, Voodoo, Juice, Dylan Roberts and many more!

Big Brother's Luke Marsden, who cut his ring-announcing teeth and rose to local fame with Garage Pro Wrestling before gaining national recognition after entering the house this summer said: "There is no doubt that GPW put on the very best shows anywhere in the country and Christmas Crunch promises to be their best this year.
"You can't fail to be entertained by the shows they put on, no matter if you're with family or just looking for a night out with a difference."

Doors open at 7pm, with the show starting at 7.30pm and scheduled to last two hours. There will also be a raffle with a very special first prize! Tickets are £7 per person or £24 per family of four.
