FOR THOSE people who missed Glastonbury, there's an exciting music festival in Leigh this year combining live rock and camping.
Dazed and Confused at Lowton Civic Hall will feature four up-and-coming bands in a night of hedonistic fun, and revellers even have permission to pitch their tents at the venue.

Organiser Paul Hooker, 38, said he wanted to bring live rock back to the Civic Hall after recalling fond memories of the old "Pie Eaters' Winter Rally" at the same venue.

Paul, who runs a recording studio in Warrington, said: "I've been to a few rock nights at the Civic Hall before but there hadn't been one for a long time.
"There used to be the Pie Eaters night and I just wanted to bring something like that back to the venue."
Four local acts will play at Dazed and Confused on Saturday, August 2 from 7pm, including newly signed Supernought, Lowton's own Jilted Cliche, Motorheadache and DJ Bob Rock.

There will also be food, a late bar and 24 hour toilets.
Tickets are expected to sell out quickly and early booking is possible by calling Paul on 07976 963102 or 07946 452351.
Tickets cost £4 pre-booked or £6 if bought on the door.
