Mother Goose - The Pirate Version will be the 27th pantomime performed by the Westhoughton Methodist Amateur Dramatic Society.
Mother Goose - The Pirate Version, starts in the Caribbean where the infamous pirate, Captain Johnny Kidd, and his scurvy crew are growing tired of searching for buried treasure. They are thinking about setting sail for Pantoland to find the magical goose that lays the golden eggs.


However, they are not the only ones who want to steal the goose. The wicked Mary Queen of Scots and her villainous henchman, the Duke of Montrose, have also heard about the goose and want to have it to fuMnd the Queen's extravagant lifestyle. Mother Goose and Jimmy will have to go to considerable lengths to keep hold of their precious goose.


Mother Goose - The Pirate Version contains scenes of mild peril involving cut-throat pirates, insult sword-fighting and traditional pantomime jokes. No geese, penguins, sharks or prompters have been harmed as part of this production.


Directed by Bill Greenhalgh with a script written by Bill with Georgina Heaton "Mother Goose - The Pirate Version" is suitable for all ages.
Performance dates are Friday and Saturday, February 8 and 9; Friday and Saturday, February 15 and 16. Tickets are £3.50 for adults and £3 for OAPs and children (February 8 and 9 only) and £4 for adults and £3.50 for OAPs and children (February 15 and 16 only)

All performances will be held at the Westhoughton Methodist Church Hall.
