LAURA White is through to the final 12 of the X-Factor.
The 21-year-old from Atherton was told on Sunday's pre-recorded show that she will be in the final three of the 14-24 girls category, mentored by judge Cheryl Cole.

Before she found out she had got through the former Fred Longworth High School pupil told cameras: "I feel like I have come such a long way in a short space of time.
"I have had a complete confidence boost. I have really started to believe in myself. It has changed my life so much."

Speaking on the show Cheryl said: "I have loved you from day one. I've watched you progress. You have amazing potential."
Laura was kept on the edge of her seat, as the Girls Aloud singer said she was afraid Laura was too specific for the public, but her sheer determination and talent won through.

This week Laura's dad, Adrian White, said: "It's just total relief and excitement.
"I was at work when she rang from Cannes. I nearly collapsed I was so excited.
"It's wonderful. When she started it was out of 185,000 people, now it's come down to 12 – we are just blown away.
"I'm not just saying it because I am her dad, but she is fantastically talented. She deserves it and she has worked so hard.
"There have been times when it has nearly happened for her and it hasn't worked out.

"Hopefully she will go right to the end, but that's in the hands of the great British public. We want it to continue as long as possible."

Laura, who is currently studying at Bolton University, will now sing live each week in a bid to become the winner.
