A Leigh man who is terminally ill is pleading for the safe return of his beloved pet dogs after they were stolen from his home.
Mohammed Sattar, 39, who was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in December last year, is devastated that his 18-month-old French Bulldog, Alexis, and 12-week-old puppy, Sam, have been taken away from him and his family.
Mohammed, who has only months to live, said: "I'm desperate to have my dogs back so my family and I can share with them what time I have left and I don't want to pass away not knowing if my dogs are safe."
The thieves broke into his home on Mill Lane through the back door at around 3.30am on June 7 and took nothing else but Alexis and Sam.
Mohammed said: "I can only think that this was planned and not done spontaneously because French Bulldogs are worth thousands of pounds."
Mohammed has had Alexis, who is microchipped and described as black, with a white patch on her chest, for eight months.
Sam is a male puppy and is white with markings on his back. His front two legs are deformed and he wears a plaster on one of them at all times.
Mohammed rescued him from a breeder who was prepared to put Sam down.
Mohammed said: "I've been in touch with the police and the RSPCA and animal groups, but so far there has been no news on where they could be.
"I am offering a cash reward for information which leads to their safe return."
Doctors have told Mohammed, who is a married father of four, that at best he has two years left to live.
Anyone who has any information on the whereabouts of Alexis and Sam should call Mohammed on 07932840870.
