Fun at the carnival

It was party time in Golborne at the weekend for the 61st Golborne Carnival.
The event begain with a fancy dress parade on floats through the town's streets towards St Thomas's Primary School fields.

Special guests at the event included the JJB Band, Golborne Band and the Buckley Bells Morris Dancers from Manchester.

One of the highlights was the crowning of the Golborne May Queen, 10-year-old Mia Aston and other attractions comprised a big fun fair, side
shows, face painting, raffles and a tombola.

All proceeds from the event will go to St Thomas's Primary School funds.
