Leigh Centurions half back Ian Watson will be flying the club's colours when representing Wales against England on Friday.
It will be the 22nd time he will have represented the principality, and that leaves him just six appearances behind the man with the all-time record of the most caps, Jim Sullivan.
"It is an incredible record, and it shows just how consistently a good player he has been over the years, and particularly at International level," said former Welsh national coach, now in charge at Leigh, Neil Kelly.

"He made his debut in 1995 in a romp against the USA in Philadelphia and I well remember his try against Australia in the semi-final of the World Cup, when we came within an ace of pulling off the biggest shock off all time.
"At club level he has played with less fashionable clubs and that is further testimony to his ability. He has been superb for us all season and I am delighted that he has got his International call up."

Meanwhile the club continues to hunt for two more key players in Kelly's bid to put together a squad that will challenge for the National One Grand Final next season.
"We have a couple of players we are talking to, both from overseas," explained Kelly.
"I am confident we will get one of them but the other seems to have Super League offers on the table. Never-the-less I am hopeful. They both seem to like what the club represents and our ambitions. But until we have a signature on paper, we won't be naming names and it is just a negotiation that is under way."

Kelly pulls together his squad of players for the first time tonight on Thursday to outline the pre-season training programme and club ethos and philosophy.
"We will be back in training after that, but I want to get the lads to know each other ready for next year,'' he said.
''Dave Armistead, Sam Reay and Nick Stanton will be there from the new signings along with the players we have retained from last year. The exceptions will be the international players, or one or two who are on family holidays.

''I think it's important they learn to work together as soon as they can in order that we can be building our team ethic as we go along.
''More than half the squad will be in attendance and we will build on that each week."

In that squad will be winger Jamie Smith, signed from the U21s earlier this week.
"He showed with his performances through the season that he deserved a right to a first team contract," added Kelly.
"He is pacey and has impressed with his ability to beat a man. He has done well and we feel will continue to do so."
