Police are hunting three men after a sickening assault outside an Ashton nightclub was caught on CCTV - the footage shows two men being seriously assaulted on Wigan Road at around 1.30am on Friday, February 8.
A number of interviews have taken place and one arrest has already been made, but efforts are still being made to trace three men heavily involved in the violence.

One of the men is described as white, 18 to 25-years-old, 5ft 10in tall of slim to medium build, with short-cropped blonde hair.

Another is described as white, 20 to 30-years-old, 5ft 10in tall, slim with a slight belly, with very short hair.

The third is described as white, 18 to 25-years-old, 5ft 8in tall, slim with short brown hair.

Two men were injured as a result of the violence, being kicked while unconscious. One suffered severe bruising, and the other suffered a minor head injuries and a broken tooth.

Police Constable Damian Craig said: "This was an act of intolerable violence in full view of a number of innocent members of the public.

"Incidents of this nature rarely take place in Ashton-in-Makerfield and we want to ensure that those responsible are brought to justice.

"We are hoping that these images and this footage will help us trace these three young men, and I would urge anyone who can help us to come forward."

Anyone with any information is asked to call police on 0161 872 5050 and ask to leave a message for officer 01625, or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
